Protester: Myself and several other people I’ve seen have been hit on the head and in the face by police batons. The police have trapped us here. I’ve seen twelve year old girls trampled with bloodied faces.

BBC Interviewer: Why couldn’t you just have held a peaceful protest?

Protester: ….

Chief Superintendant: “The Metropolitan Police are extremelydisappointed with the way protesters have behaved today. …sustained attacks on police officers…” blah blah blah
